Noblesse, HerO and PuMa managed to reach the championship poolplay by playing the open brackets and beating every guy in their way, only to show dominance in the poolplay too! PuMa ended up first in his group, HerO third (together with SluSh and Trickster but had a lesser set-result) and Noblesse finished 2nd right after Korean Bomber.
The Championship bracket knew some impressive runs and unexpected defeats and it was pretty interesting to say the least!
DeMusliM
This guy from EG has not really succeeded any major achievements recently and does not really belong up there with the very top-notch group of players in my honest opinion. Yesterday, however, he proved himself worthy by playing through the open brackets and beating the likes of CrunCher, KawaiiRice, TLO, Ret and Trickster! His journey was ended by NaDa in a 2-1 loss and that results in a great event for DeMusliM if you ask me!
TriMaster
The major upset of the tournament was EGIdrA losing to 'some Terran Random'. TriMaster managed to play himself through the open brackets and get a direct place in the pools to play for a spot in the Championshipbracket. His run was doomed to fail, but he managed to beat the likes of HayPro and IdrA, only to lose to HuK 1-4. The major upset of IdrA losing to TriMaster knew some typical rage from IdrA which was filmed by someone and can be viewed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4mdmWs1SfuY (scroll to 1.30). It was said he smacked the headset so hard, that the f4 key of his keyboard was found by a visitor on the ground. Guess it's in the possession of the right owner now (picture shows TriMaster):
Overall a lot of players did alright. SjoW did a pretty good job as he was ill, but also HuK, HerO, NaDa, NaNiWa and SeleCT achieved solid results as you would expect.
So in the end the Koreans dominate the top 6, again, and Bomber crowns himself to be the Champion after beating CoCa for the 2nd time in the Grand Finals.
