AoM players have done well but it does seem AoE2 King > AoM King

TheViper beat TheMista 4-2 and IamMagic 2-0

Well I think overall no one expected all AOM players to be better than AOE2 players but that doesn't mean some of them can't compete at the top. Pretty sure Mista took a lot of games from Viper in some training games or even official ones.

Before the game came out it seems a lot of people were 100% sure that AOE2 players would demolish everyone. But if you look at the ladder and the tourneys you can see a great mix of players from AOE2 and SC2 but also some AOM players doing good and I think some come from AOEOnline.

But yeah overall it's moreAOE2 and SC2 players because those games are the oldest and they have a very competitive scene for a long time so there is no surprise to see them at the top.

A lot of good things coming for AOE4 in the next weeks and months (big tourneys, february patch, spring update) so it should be great!

Yeah, they've done great. They are better than most Aoe2 pros like Capoch, just seems like TheViper and Hera are a little better.

If GSS, Magyar, Mat, Ayah played too, AoM would do even better.

Most people who compete at top level are passionate and self rewarding themselves in regards to playing. At the top level to become the best players. They would have all been like an average player. But they driveing themselves to be the best at what they do because they are competive, commited and what be the best at what they do. So they can reap the rewards for what they do. Rts is fun and comptive so it drives players to compete with each other so they become the best and make there hobby there jobs or careers in regards to esport. Only small 1% make it so the individual has to have some form off talent or commitment to make it to the top. Some will play 7 days week 12 hour days if it is beneficial or effective to do so. It is like this in even sports but you are limited by performance in sport which is why people go to lengths off take performance enhancing drugs or even cheating to get to the peak. I think everyone has to unlock there talent to be sucessfull at what they do then they need motivation and a driveingforce to keep you going. I think most people who are still play RTS now are veterans it's much easy now to get better now then 10-20 years ago as technology, resources and information become more readily available. But that said its become more comptive as other players have also learnt your tricks to you have to adapt or keep advancing to stay ahead off the pact. Always have to connect the dots.
