The priest has changed his mind once again, he said that the Quran will be burned if the mosque project will continue in Ground Zero. |

QUOTE(DoO_Quasar @ Sep 10 2010, 12:50 AM) Only linking, not embedding as this is a rather offensive video even in its satirical message so you are forewarned: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vdtFk_V6A4M&skipcontrinter=1 Friend told me about it today so I went and found it on YouTube...God I love parodies :) Highest rated comment on that video, with 62 (+): QUOTE Burn the quran along with the bible and torah. Religion only serves to divide people. As Lennon said, IMAGINE I don't believe such a retarded statement has such support. Burning religious holy books apparently DOESN'T divide people, then? fruiting hell. |

As much as I think muslims are getting a bad rap... burning a book, any book, is just something free people should be able to do. Burn the koran, bible, whatever. You aren't harming anyone, he should be allowed to burn it. I don't agree with the act, but the guy has the freedom to do so, I think. edit: also at Stargazer. If you think these people are nutjobs for going after a guy who drew Mohammad in a cartoon... check out what Christians do if you take a cracker out of church. http://scienceblogs.com/pharyngula/2008/07...ned_cracker.php Both are just images, facsimiles, whatever, representing their god, and when they feel that image or representation is being insulted or abused, people start sending death threats. So I can't see how Catholics are any better than the Muslims. This post has been edited by Orion_Zorn: Sep 16 2010, 11:46 AM |

QUOTE I respect Muslims (I wouldn't say I respect Islam, but that is besides the point, I don't respect Christianity either) but the people threatening to do this should not be stopped. They have the right to freedom of expression. this |

I don't think anyone is arguing that the burning is illegal, and most everyone would agree that he have his freedom of speech. The discussion is about whether he is a fool for doing it or not. Of course, unless you're a right wing nut, you would agree that he's a fool, so basically it's the sane population of America trying to tell him not to enrage an entire religion for no due reason. But of course there's millions of ignorant fools backing up on this stupid act. Stupid Americans... |
