"WSAD" Layout for Retribution (IMG:http://www5.picturepush.com/photo/a/5202758/img/5202758.jpg) I took the advise in this thread and edited the gridkeys section of the keyboard file. This was a LOT easier and also results in the setup to work on ALL RACES now. For this to work you need to set your keys to GRIDKEYS in the game options menu. Download - http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9169569/keydefaults.lua RED WSAD - for map movement. Freeing up mouse movement for micro stuff. Also imo it is quicker to use wsad than to drag the mouse to side of the screen. This is the main point of this file and teh reason it was created. BLUE Global Unit Commands Q = Retreat Z = Attack Move E = Attack Melee X = Stance C = Halt CRT+Z = Attack Ground CapsLock = Unload Next Selection = SPACE As you can see (dose anyone read this) I have changed this up a little bit to bring the unit commands closer to the WSAD keys. Reinforce has been removed as you can now right click on the reinforce button on your squad for auto reinforcements. Also I put CONTROL+Z as attack ground as it was one of my most unused keys, it is still very easy to hit but freed up some positions on the keyboard to move the unit commands across closer to the wsad keys. PINK F1 - Select Base (unchanged) Orange F2 - F5 - Hero Battlefield Abilities (Unchanged) Green Hero Upgrades The Hero Upgrades start at NUMPAD 7 and go down from left to right to NUMPAD 3. These match the position visually in the upgrade panel for your hero. Purple Unit Upgrades These run from v-m and again simply match the order they appear on the upgrade panel. Yellow Unit Abilities These have been moved closer to the WSAD keys for easy of use in this version. The keys match visually the positions on the ability panel, sorta. As the point of this file is for easy of clicking, the abilities are spread down the keyboard as well as across, making a small block near wsad instead of stretching to the far side of the keyboard. R+T = Ability 1+2 F+G = Ability 3+4 Y - Ability 5 H = Ability 6 As most units do not have more than 4, I placed the 1st 4 in the easiest places to press. (imo, open to suggestions) Remember TAB is repair, as stated in the BLUE section for global unit commands. ----- Well, let me know if you like this.. again this "should" work for all races in multiplayer games I mainly play Chaos though... if anyone dose try this and there are problems, please let me know. If you do try it, I would love to here some feedback This post has been edited by Jynks: Mar 23 2011, 04:49 PM |
