Star=+ reviews from members
Step 1: Try Deleting Temporary Internet Files and your cookies (tools/options/delete temporary internet files)

Step 2: Turn off your firewall to see if that is blocking it

(IMG:http://med.stanford.edu/personal/boydhouse/visualist/resume/star.gif)Step 3: Sometimes if you wait an hour or so the problem will clear up

Step 4: If you have a router then go to in your browser 192.168.0.1 (the password is normally admin) and then find the section for ports and enable 2300 in the protocal section

Step 5: This has helped a few people. Try adding this to the end of your Aom/TT short cut's target (right click/properties/target) +nointrocinematics +doalphalogin

(IMG:http://med.stanford.edu/personal/boydhouse/visualist/resume/star.gif)Step 6: For me sometimes reseting my router helps

Step 7: Use a spyware cleaner such as Ad-Aware or SpyBoT Search and Destory

the problem is permanent for some and temporary for others. Mine is permanent. if u dont fix it at first keep on trying. ive heard some people say deleting aot completely and reinstalling it. This may work, but u could lose alot of info. it didnt work for me. just if what u do doesnt work, reset it to what it was b4. Also, watching a recorded game after enabling udp port 2300 really helps for some reason. u dont have to watch the whole thing. just 1 min or 5 min if ur watching fast play.

Those are the two most likely solutions, as the problem is almost certainly a transient UDP routing issue.

I repeat, you do NOT need to forward port 2300 to your machine to play aom on eso.

Happened to me again, it would appear to be fragmenting UDP packets, which for some reason are not arriving at there destination. I think something is incorrect in the UDP header section, the IP header section looked ok, but the UDP info was garbled. Not sure why, possibly corruption in their data routines? I would of thought they are using the normal UDP stack which would imply there was corruption there.

It is intermittent though, and deleted stuff really shouldn't have any effect on it, other than possibly resetting the stack, and maybe clearing it due to the inadvertant waiting your doing while deleting stuff.

Best advice, rebooting everything - try again, hope it works.

I really hope they sort out the netcode for aoe3.

If you reset the router it will change the password to the defalt one but then you will have to set it back up again.

the password is usually "admin" or "password", only if u havent changed it. there is no username. leave it blank. first u type in ur local I.P. adress. it is basically ur ip but shorter. ei. IP Address= 192.158.100
Local IP Address=192.158.1

so shorten it by the last 2 digits then enter it.

Then read my other post for the info. u should look at all the posts in these topics b4 questioning. I thought that suggesting a pinned thread would help me do less typing. i guess i was wrong. lol.

PM me if this doesnt work.

I do have this problem sometimes I dont have rounter. so I think it is the problem with eso instead of my comp for I never do nothing to my comp to solve it. dont think my comp will do something on its own to fix the problem therefore I think it is eso. instead of my comp. :D
