Hi all! Last post in this forum dated 2011, but silence is over!
Eastern Europe DoW community is still alive and we have one fun tournament for you.

This tornament played on Tornament SS mod wich you can download from here:

Changes (there can be some slips):


Tornament go in 2 stages.
1) Start 13.01.2013 . Four groops, 1 winner from each. 2 weeks for games.
2) Final 27.01.2013 double elimination form.

Registration is simple. Just write you nikname and some sort of communication with you here (better to use skype).

how do you install this btw? I am a noob when it comes to mods. I have tried copy and pasting the TornamentSS folder into thq/dawn of war - soulstorm but nothing shows up on my game manager

In zip file there are main mod folder "tornamentSS" and file "TornamentSS.module". They must be both in SoulStorm folder. That's all.
Necrons... A hard nut to crack. It's really hard to balance them without some radikal changes in gameplay. Sorry :D .

i suggest eliminating orks, eldars, dark eldars and tau too
why not? its the same story like crons

See mode changes fist plz before discution. Tau, de, sob and necrons was removed . Not only the necrons.
Also, why orks? Or eldars?
Orks are normal balanced with SM and Chaos (not ideal of couse but we are working about it ;) ), eldars strong disbalance problems are oblivius, same as IG. For necrons or tau it really hard to say "this buff you need to do" or "this thing you need to nerf". I realized this during many discussions about russian community balance patch.

P.S. Also, necrons have some critical bugs. And they can't be removed, like 0 cost generators at start, or bugs of Deciver abilyties.

Which deceiver abilities are bugged? when you take that mad dok and explode ork army out? i don't really think it's a bug, but you could fix this too by removing the ork race ;)

You can get 0 generator cost only when the game gets frozen lag at begining, so it's easily detectable bug, and it is very easy to remove by not lagging the game out, lol

And why you take players only from russian community to work on a balance patch and removing races also? As far as i remember russian community doesn't have any good players except lamo and jackal... sad story :(

Deceiver abilities...
First of all - capturing tau ethereal bug.
Second - increasing limit of elite squads of opponent (2-3 squads obliterators as example)
Third - infinite control of enemy commanders.
It really have a critical bugs.

Discution was about balance patch for all races. It started at 12.11.2009 and died at the end of 2011. This mod is just a little try to reborn one good idea without balansing 9 race to each other.

P.S. Lamo good :D . Only now mb. When there is no really good players on game spy.
Also - one old and good replay vs lamo as bonus :D .
