Looking to to do some sprint training in order to get quicker over 0-15~meters. Haven't found anything too useful on google and was wondering if anyone knew any training i could do maybe once or twice a week? Besides turning black of course. |

the 100m sprinters that go to my gym sessions do: quarter squats, snatch, cleans, box jumps, 1 leg box jumps, drop box jumps. they have another wierd exercise i dunno the name baiscally someone sits on a bosu ball around your ass and you go throught the running motion with the below the knee only part of your leg bouncing off the ball and back to the ground for 15s 3sets of that as fast as pos. nordic hamstring curl things probs also good. |

yeh u need strong hamstrings, glutes and hip flexors so those excersises are useful... but another useful one: do some sprints... lol anyways a good one is go for a bike ride (to oval perhaps) 10km or so warmup... then do ur stretches and poopie... then do some short run throughs then all your drills (do them fast and properly... your trying to get your brain full alert also ... over like 30 metres).. after that you should be properly warmed up and alert.... proceed to grind out some sets of sprints (in your case maybe just 6 x 50m would suffice) and when they start to turn sloppy just stop... then bike ride home enjoy |

A few thing you can do wear the right shoes possibley onces with spikes or onces that are very light.(can run without shoes on grass). Breathing through the nose out through the mouth and run on your toes. Find out how big steps you what to take small ones or big depending on what comfortable or what works best for you. time yourself and keep practiceing. |
