this is the reason why I consider Oranos the strongest civ, it's primarily due to the economy. I advanced faster, made more army took tc slower and had less hunt but I still got mythic and titan faster than him with more upgrades and better army

Agreed, atty eco is so strong early on, and hard to harass as well. They are so strong early on in the game so it is pretty much only about surviving, and then they still outboom you easily if you go for eco.

atty villager creating time - 35 seconds, with low/not many eco upgrades gather as fast as 3 other civ villagers (no drop site) - costs 125 food, 25 wood

except they dont gather 3 times faster they gather 2.5 times faster and cost 3 times the population ( 14 x 2.5 = 35 ? Coincidence I don't think so.. ) Eso had no idea what they were doing when they created atty because it just doesn't make sense as a civ , how can you have at max 25 civ units ( 25 x 2.5 that gather at the same rate as 62.5 greek/norse civ units yet cost 75 population . Ofc all of us know this is why Atty falls off super hard in the game economically. And you mention no drop off pt which makes atty economy op early but it definitely falls off later, you just have to try and remain super efficient with drop off sites to try and compete with atty economy, the bigger problem is that oranos can just spam wood based unit with 5+ speed super quickly to get even more economical advantage by taking control of the map and he can always outspam you because he has shockwave, op economy. Which makes the natural counter to oranos, walls, super efficient booming and taking advantage of quality units over quantity. Which is pretty much a suckish way to play. You have to outplay oranos to beat him but I think many civs have the opportunity to do so on patch 1.02 .

As you kind of eluded to, the real gathering rate of Atlanteans is higher earlier due to walking. However, I always found the most frustrating thing facing Atlanteans is how impossible it is to raid a good atty. Villagers have high HP and well placed manors do work, making it really difficult to win with raiding civs

I think he was too confidence after winning the early flight .. or maybe he saw you have a prefect back gold mine so thought that 3tc boom is a good idea. His game plan was so bad here.

I actually think Atlanteans villagers are easier to raid... my favorites civ to raid in tg.

they are slower and 3 in 1 unit, so if you catch them is hard for them to run away.

also you could keep sending 2 or 3units to annoy them , since is hard for them to kill your units.

While this is generally true, the balance changes make defensive maps too difficult to just 'outspam' people on

I always agree that Ora is tie1 god

everyone knows Kro and Gaia are tie3&4, but when I talk about their weakness
, suddenly they become top tie god 11
