Discord link: https://discord.gg/UznFKUKF
When?:
The tournament will start in the coming weeks, since it is the first for the moment let's see how many members there are and how to structure the matches
depending on the number of participants there will be a tennis scoreboard or n groups
Sign-ups are open until 29th January.
Tournament and match rules:
- The format will be pretty standard, with most rounds being bo3 (semi and finals bo5) and played on random map
- All games will be played on EE
- Veto is possible in the first 60 seconds. (In case of veto, the game will be restarted on the same map and with the same major gods.)
- Every match has one week to be scheduled and played.
- Refusing to schedule, violating the rules or not showing for a scheduled match leads to admin loss.
- After every match the winner will upload all recorded games.
- No cheats, if there are bugs please warn and restart match with same map and gods.
- No abusive language in game and in stream. Respect each other, it's only a game, for fun, enjoy it
Sign-ups are open until 29th January.
The tournament will be played in two phases: qualifications and final draw
First Phase: Qualifications -> Round Robin
Player will be equally and randomly divided into 'n' groups, each group will be formed by 4 players, all matches will be Bo3 in round robin, each win will gain 1 pt to the player, each lost 0 pt.
Each player will be able to veto once in a match. I remember about this (Veto is possible in the first 60 seconds. In case of veto, the game will be restarted on the same map and with the same major gods.)
The two players who gain the most points for each group will pass to the next phase: the first classified of each group will play with the second of the other groups
*** What happens if 2 or more players finish on equal points?
° Two players: If two players end up with same points then the played match (series bo3) between the two players in draw will be taken into consideration, so that the player who won the match will finish ahead of the loser
° Two or more players: If two or more players end up with same points, then players having more 'matches difference' i.e., 'matches won' minus 'matches lost' will go to the 'Final draw'.
If 'matches difference' are also same, then players having more 'matches won' will go to the 'Final draw', if also 'matches won' are same, will play only one match to decide who have to pass to the final draw
Second Phase: Final draw (single elimination bracket)
The matches will be in single elimination bracket bo3, with the exception of the semifinals and finals which will be played bo5: the player who will win the series goes to the next round
During bo3 you can't use the same god more than twice, semifinals and finals free
Prize money:
glass of milk this is a difficult period for the covid and with little work so it will depend on the willingness to donate

Winter is here, and what better way to end the year than with one final Age of Mythology Tournament. Some of the best players from across the world will duke it out for the title of best duo. Will anyone be able to beat the titans that are magic and mista? Perhaps RTSL winning team Shelty & Fox can get their revenge. Or will it be Greenseasquash and his F2 teammates that establish their dominance. So many top teams to look out for!
We hope to provide some top quality entertainment over the festive period, and bring some extra enjoyment to a relaxing time of year!
Brackets:
https://challonge.com/sbu53fcz
The current prize-pool is £100 and will be winner takes all.
Tournament Rules:
• Balance Patch 4.0 Blindpick • Random map only • BO3 for the round of 8, BO5 for semi-finals and finals • 1 veto per series, within 60 seconds. Map and god choice must remain the same when restarting. • No repeat gods are allowed in a series, so each player can only pick a god once, then for the rest of the series cannot pick that god again. This only applies to the player, not the team. Eg. Both players can pick Oranos. (If 3 players play in a single series, then a 3rd player couldn’t sub in and play a god that has already been picked, to avoid abuse of this rule) • No cheating or smurfing. No hunt delete, spawn hacking, bug exploits, or any other version of cheating that is obviously cheating. Wallchips are allowed around starting towers, nowhere else.
Scheduling:
Scheduling can be done via the DoD discord (https://discord.gg/Qpemr2dS5p), or can be done privately. Just remember to post your arranged times in the DoD discord so that a caster can be sorted. Ideally, we would like all the games streamed for the community.
We aim to play 1 round per week, however we would like this to finish before the end of December if possible.
GLHF to all the players, may the best duo win!

Age of Mythology Voobly League
Champions League is what the community needs and I hope that it goes down well for those that are involved. To begin with Champions League is an invite only round-robin followed by a play-offs style ending.
Challengers League is and open sign-up for those who did not get an invite but want to participate. The format will run the same however instead of a play-offs for the top players they will get the opportunity to take a spot from the lowest point earners of the Champions League to participate in the next season and then players who just don't quite make the cut will play a Challengers Cup play-off for the glory!
Format:
Group Stages
- There will be a total of 8 players in a group. - 2 groups for Champions League, and likely 2 more for Challengers - The group stage will last 6 weeks with one series a week, plus one flexible match to be played during the 6 weeks. - It will be BO3 - Each player will get one home map. - A home map can be almost any map so long as forward notice is given to the opponent. Otherwise a 'standard' map must be chosen. - Game 3 (if it occurs) will be on Random map decided by a random wheel in the style of BGO. If no map was given then simply play on Random. - 3 points will be given for a win, 1 point for a loss, 0 for a forfeit and -1 for a no show.
Play-Offs (Champions):
- Top 4 players from each group move onto the play-offs. - There will be a 3/4th game to be played. - Bottom 4 players from each group play each other -> i.e. 5a x 8b 6a x 7b with the losers being sent to *Relegations - BO5. No home maps. All maps decided by Tournament organizers in advance via random wheel. (BGO style)
*Relegations are a BO5 series between the losing champions and the winning challengers. The victor will have a spot in next seasons Champions league.
Play-Offs (Challengers):
- Top 4 from each group play each other for a spot in Relegations. I.e. 1a x 4b 2a x 3b ect.
- BO5. No home maps. All maps decided by Tournament organisers in advance via random wheel. (BGO style)
Prize Pool - $442au + $350usd
Will work this all out later just putting here as a running total so noone accuses me of fishy business hehe
Current Donations $200 - Boit $50 - Hannibal $26 - Nekofan $66 - Schalchers $100 - anon $20usd - $100usd - Alex from Puerto Rico $200usd - anon $30usd - pepe $10usd - nobi 58usd ($50 euro) - Kilty
1st gets 60% 2nd gets 30% 3rd gets 10%
Invites for the Champions League will be going out in the next week. If you've been inactive recently and consider yourself a top player feel free to send me a message and I will consider inviting you otherwise invites will only be going out to those who are currently active and you'll have to fight through Challengers league.
Streamers are more than welcome to get in on the games. I'll be casting any games that fit into my stream schedule (and doing recs ofc) which is a pretty small amount of games I would think. The only thing I would ask is that you say you will be able to turn up before hand.
Signups are currently open. The league will start on Sunday, September 13th, so make sure you sign up before that. We currently have about 10 accepted invites to the Champions League, with a couple more slots pending. So we have 4-6 open slots in Champions league, and of course the 16 spots in the Challengers League. You must sign up on Discord below, as the tournament will be organized on Discord:
Voobly League Discord
Official Tournament Organizers: Boit ChronoJJ Kilty Probably will be a few more people to include in this.
Invites will be sent out through Voobly.

The map rotation has returned, with Highland out and Borderlands in.
Borderlands is a snow-based map, with moderate hunt. In 1x1, players spawn close to each other but are separated by a treeline with two openings towards the edge of the map. In team games, each player is separated from other by a tree line, with one opening near the edge, and the other near the middle. The middle in team games provides access to each player. Players also spawn close to each other in team games, with most of the map being behind each player.
Map Specs: Either 1 or 2 small gold mines in base (50/50 chance) One starting food pack --- Varies from 1-3 walrus + berries. The more walrus, the fewer berries (Walrus ate the berries) Three additional hunt packs. --- One Caribou pack --- One Boar pack --- One Elk or Walrus pack (50/50) Two berry packs per player (out of base). Additional gold is fairly standardized amounts. Team Games feature additional gold and a giraffe pack in the center (if you dare).
The map was altered slightly from the previous version. The map is slightly bigger, and in 1x1, the forest separating players now stretches further towards the edge, so that players are not quite as close. The changes were based on player comments.
1x1

2x2

3x3
