How to get the a mouse to work properly in SS

Okay, so here's the problem I am attempting to play ss on my Microsoft surface pro. The game boots up just fine but once in main menu the cursor does not move at all which the only way I can even get to the main menu or do anything is by using the touch screen, when I try to use the mouse if it runs over say for example multiplayer its highlighted but the cursor is still stuck in place on the screen. It is impossible to play like this.

Note* some youtube videos on how to resolve this problem with steam games are available but it differs from game to game none for ss.

Any suggestions/solutions to this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Why you need your mouse in SS? You play necrons, right?

I play necrons, but they are one of 3mains. Really it makes the games more interesting when you play with mono mouse only so fun. Montana I found a solution to the problem a couple hours ago too, thanks though.

Was just trolliing around, but good to hear that you already solve your problem.
