Abit off topic but, would a laptop Radeon HD 5650 1ghz run SC2 fairly easy? |

That's pretty low of specs, if it ran it at all, it would have to be on lowest graphics, and even then it would probably lag badly. |

QUOTE(Lordy @ Aug 9 2010, 03:48 AM) 5650 in a laptop will get you to play SC2 although it will not give you the best gameplay and graphical experience. Prepare to get annoyed... |

QUOTE(Lordy @ Aug 9 2010, 02:48 AM) I play on a laptop and medium graphics with "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650". I've never ever experienced any lag (because of my computer) in either sc2 or aoe3. Though I think I have 2.1 GHz, I'm not that great at computers.. :P This post has been edited by [_V_V_]91: Aug 9 2010, 03:32 AM |

i got a laptop with a nvidea GT 330M, and i can play the game 1600x900 on medium with roughy 50 fps and on high with 25 fps (which is starting to look lag slightly sometimes. it is def playable on a laptop. Still you need a mouse, and i prefer a desktop keyboard |

GT330M isn't a really great card though... HD5870mobility scales about a desktop HD4890 :) so it's a good laptop choice anyways :) |

gt330 is a midrange card, and it can handle SC2 well. So it is possible to play SC on a laptop |

For laptops it's mid-range, meaning it's not really great compared to desktop gfx cards. Advantage with RTS games is that you don't really have any difference in whether your gfx card runs 40 fps or 60 as it doesn't really matter, for FPS games it does. |
