With the creation of RTSS it is now a far less onerous process for Robo to set up support for other games. Well, its no walk in the park to be sure - but it is a lot easier than what we had previously with separate sites and different page designs. Although we've just launched RTSS and won't be adding more games for now, we welcome suggestions for new games on our site. There are a number of criteria that must be met for us to consider adding support for a new game;

Heroes of Newerth. Its a DOTA clone (with several improvements, new heroes,...) made by S2 Games (Savage 1 + 2). It has been released earlier this month, the beta lasted nearly a year (afaik). 1. Well thats the only point I am not sure of. You could argue wether HoN is a RTS or not. 2. At the time of this post >17.000 players were online. So I would say the activity of the online community shouldn't be a problem. 3. Replay functionality is included. 4. Well I can only speak for myself, so I dunno how many other Sanc members would like to see a HoN section here. Probably a poll would be a good way too see wether such a section would make sense or not :P. This post has been edited by Imbaer: May 28 2010, 10:14 PM |

well HON is no longer beta, it's possible, it's a good game and i played it many hours during the beta, but this summer for me at least is definitely gonna be all sc2, and i'm very happy with the website containing that for now. I like the site just the way it is, however other main strategy games i play and like are at my xfire account at xfire.com/profile/realn: civ4, wc3, cs (but that's fps). Really to me if this sanctuary network would like to branch out to other game I would want cs and maybe cod4 or bf1942 or something idk. No other RTS games come to my mind other than the 7 year old game Wc3 and maybe CnC games. This post has been edited by parc.philly: Jun 3 2010, 02:34 PM |

My opinion is to concentrate really hard on SC2. |

QUOTE(Incog @ Jun 3 2010, 08:43 PM) this, agesanc was always the most popular site for recorded games in the age series, but with sc2 you are going to have some massive competition |

concentrate on SC2 imo, unless you are expanding to FPS games, but that is silly. |

yeah SCII is going to take a lot of effort for us to get right ... I think I said once early on that we would probably never catch up on long-time sites like TL because they have such an established user base but I'm sure we can get a good community going |

how about warcraft3? We made an AoM clan on it with all ex-aom/aot players and have 20+ members right now, I'm sure there are lot more people on aots that play it It has a community of 70000+ players per day :D |

We had warcraft sanctuary at one stage but I shut it down years ago because we had no user base and i couldn't justify the effort of keeping it running. I still have the site archived so could probably do something but I'm not sure how much life WC3 will actually have once SC II comes out |

I'd agree on letting SC2 come out before trying to support other RTS games. I mean, even TAD is slowly dying (which is a shame, that was such a good game after the FP came out), so it might happen to other RTS. |

Company of Heroes is the only other game that really comes to mind with me. I know its got a pretty sweet replay system but the community size I've got no clue. I just play that game via LAN with a friend. Personally I think just maintain how the site is now. You guys have worked hard in recent times just take a little break :P Then at the release of AoE4 pounce on that, if that it does come out that is :P |

RUSE Not much is known about it so far, but judging from what I played of it on the beta, it's as much an RTS as you can get :P. The Beta was pretty popular so when the full game is released I'm sure it would get a lot of activity, and it does have a recorded game feature. |
