/!\ WARNING /!\ This strategy requires a lot of skills and huge micro. Do not use it if you are a noob (less than PR50 ELO 3200) THE NATIVE SCOUTS RUSH You always wanted to surprise your opponent? To show him a score inferior to 100 after 20 minutes to make him confident, make him to be sure he is going to win and then roll over his army, his city and his nerves? Or maybe you want to get an easy win but you are not in the mood to micro/macro much because you just can't be arsed? Then this strategy is for YOU! I am pretty sure that a lot of you guys already know this strategy, but I didn't see any topic/discussion about it. Of course, this is not unbeatable, a simple wall camp straight FF, and you'll be owned. Remember that this strategy is all-in, it's difficult to change your mind after this. Obviously, the warning above is ironical, you can perform this strategy without any micro and the macro is simple - keep 3 vils on the food for the settlers production and all the other ones on the wood. That is all. Using this strategy, your higher APM will be performed when you will type "gg" at the end of the game. Seriously! Even though this strategy is a rush, you will be a little vunerable at the very early game. But once you survive a bit, you will be able to own him seven ways from sunday. Also, it's risky to use it in 1v1 for the same reasons. If you do it nevertheless, try to micro a little bit when you have your first units in the early game to keep them alive as long as possible. And most important thing, do not forget to upgrade your wood collecting rate in the market! 1v1 Iroquois vs Germany https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JpFiamZdJMw...66TAPqMVa_nOsRw 2v2 Japan-Iroquois vs Germany-Dutch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lJ_TQcFLbaQ...66TAPqMVa_nOsRw This post has been edited by Ourzk: Apr 7 2014, 05:01 AM |

The native scout has no true counter against it. I've seen a recorded game of DAMNIT doing this but it isn't a strategy that would be recommended vs someone of higher or equal skill in my opinion. |

IIRC the native scout rush was nerfed after some patch, making it much less viable than it used to be back then. |
