Who here has read it? :) I'm working on a project for school right now on it, I read it back in 9th grade so I chose it as my IRP (independent reading project). Fantastic book :flowers: |

Haha, my neighbor's dad was reading that Wheel of Time series. Didn't the author die before they were completed? 11 1000+ pages per book with over 13 books iirc... |

Why? Do you honestly have a problem with that? I couldn't give a rip about formalized education. I know 100% of this material, same thing in just about every class, I can't stand how I'm forced to dredge through it  |

Much better than the radio imo. And the author's widow hired a mormon byu teacher, brandon sanderson, to finish the last book. Which, within a matter of months, announced that he was turning the last book into 3 books. So a series that was originally scheduled for 6 books, has turned into 15 books :P |

I read all the Dune books quite awhile ago, an awesome series of books although the original 6 by Frank Herbert are easily the best in my opinion. I'm going to start the Wheel of Time series fairly soon, probably going to finish it over the summer(or at least as far as I've gotten). Also, the Ender's Game series is awesome (and author is mormon for you adacc) |

Yea, it's from the Dune series, I almost forgot :teehee: He's my favorite character, and he had an awesome AoE sounding name with the Duke, so I figured that I might as well use him as a username |

Read the books, seen the movies (the syfy one too), know about the dead project to revive the franchise, played the strategy games, want the H.R. Giger Harkonnen dining room set, and occasionally still listen to the soundtracks. I knew Patrick Stewart from Dune before Star Trek: The Next Generation. So while most people know him for "Engage." I know him for "ATOMICS!". This post has been edited by Funkkalo: Jul 26 2012, 06:04 PM |

Dune had a pretty nice soundtrack yes, I remember I couldn't ever get past the 3rd mission of any campaign :( |
