Privacy Policy
RTS-Sanctuary.com is dedicated to safeguarding and preserving your privacy when visiting our site or communicating electronically with us. This Policy explains what information we collect from you; how we collect that information; how the information is used, stored and protected; and what choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.

This Privacy Policy is linked from the footer of every page of the site. As with all parts of the site, the Policy may be reviewed and change from time to time so you should return and review it.

By using any part of this site you unconditionally consent to this Policy.


Information We Collect
We collect information from you when you register an account on the site and at various times when you are using the site. When you register an account we collect the following mandatory information:
  • Username
  • Email Address
  • IP Address
You may choose to provide a range of optional information during registration including your First Name, Age, Gender and Country of Residence. The Username you select will be used to identify all content that you post on, or submit to, the site. A valid email address is required to register an account to ensure that we have a means of contacting you if necessary. You may choose to keep your email address private from other members of the website through the Email Settings found under My Controls when you are logged in to your account. Site Administrators can view your email address at any time. Your IP address is recorded to monitor multiple registrations from the same IP address, manage any abuse of the site resources, and prevent banned IP addresses/users from accessing the site.

During your visits to the site we collect details of your visit and the resources that you access including, but not limited to, your IP address, location data, referring site data, web browser data, resources requested and pages viewed. We use this information to help us run the site more efficiently, to gather broad demographic data of our user base, to monitor the levels of activity on the site, to evaluate the effectiveness of advertising and promotion strategies, and to tailor the content of the site based on traffic patterns.

The site provides resources to communicate with other members of the site by sending Personal Messages and Emails. The content of all such communications are logged by the site software and may be read by Administrators of the Site if they suspect the message may be spam/advertising, may breach the Rules of Operation of the Site, or if required to do so by law.

The primary method of communication on the site is by posting messages in the forums. These forums are public and most can be read by visitors who have not registered an account with the site. You should therefore be careful about any personal information that you post in the forums and have no expectation that it will be kept private in any way.

Your user profile allows you to provide a range of information about yourself. Unless otherwise specified when you enter this information it will be viewable by all users of the site. In addition, you have the option of uploading, or linking to, an image of yourself such as a photo. This image is visible to other users of the site and can be modified or deleted through the Personal Photo settings found under My Controls.


Use of Cookies
We use cookies to identify members so that they don't need to re-enter their username and password every time they visit the site or wish to use the site resources. We may also use cookies to manage the ads that you see when you visit the site and to track usage patterns on the site. You may disable the use of cookies through the privacy settings of your web browser but, if you do this, you should note that it is possible that you will not be able to access some features of the site, or they may not operate correctly. The site software provides an option to delete cookies set by the site on the index page of the main forum view.

Google provides third-party ads on this site and uses cookies to serve ads to the site. In particular, Google uses the DoubleClick DART cookie to enable it and its partners to serve ads to users of the site based on their visits to this site and other sites on the Internet. When users visit the site and either view or click on an ad, a cookie may be dropped on the user's browser. The data gathered from this cookie is used to help server and manage ads on the site. Use of Your Information
The information that we collect and store relating to you is primarily used to enable us to provide our services and features to you and to identify you to other users of the site. In addition, we may use the information for the following purposes:
  • To compile non-identifying and aggregate data to better design the services we provide and to share with potential advertisers. Such use will never disclose information that can identify an individual user of the site.

Storing Your Personal Data
We operate the site on a dedicated hosting server which only highly trusted staff and the hosting service provider have access to. The server is currently located in a professionally managed data facility in Singapore.

Any financial transactions with the site (for example paying for subscriptions or making a donation) are conducted through Paypal who use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Technology to protect the security of your private data. Any other transactions with products or services advertised on this site will be conducted directly with the provider of those products or services.

The transmission of any information via the internet is not completely secure and we therefore cannot guarantee the security of data sent to us electronically. We will take reasonable steps to make sure that your data is treated securely and in agreement with this Privacy Policy however we are not responsible for any breach of security or for the actions of third-parties. You are responsible for keeping your password to access the site secure and confidential.


Disclosing Your Information
We do not share your email address with third parties for marketing, spam or promotional activities and we do not sell, trade or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third-parties who assist us in the operation of the site or delivering services to you or with our affiliates, subsidiaries or business partners so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We never use or share personally identifiable information in ways other than described in the Policy without also providing you with the opportunity to prevent such use of the information.

We may also release your information to respond to legal requests or to prevent harm. We will only disclose personal information to a legal request where we have a good faith belief that the release is required by law in the appropriate jurisdiction. We reserve the right to report to law enforcement authorities any activities that we believe, in good faith, to be unlawful or to share information with third-parties when we have a good faith belief that it is necessary to prevent harm to yourself or another person.

These sites are not controlled by us and you should check their own privacy policies before releasing your personal information to them. We do not accept any responsibility or liability for the privacy policies, content or activities of these sites.


Access To Information
You can access the majority of your personal information through the My Controls link visible when you are logged in to the site. Your username can be changed by submitting a request to a member of the site staff. If you wish to change your email address you can do so through My Controls but please be aware that you will be required to re-validate your account.
