As you should already know, we have separated forums for recorded games, depending on actual rate (1751+ and 1750- forums).

We want people to post their games in the correct forums in order to offer our site members a pre-selection thus making it more comfortable for them to download games of the skill range they are looking for.

The problem is that many people ignore this rule and post their 1750- games in 1751+ forums, knowing that staff won´t punish them. The result is an increasing amount of work for us as staff and an increasing amount of people who are annoyed since they have to click through tons of unexpected "noob recs" in 1751+ forums.

To solve this problem we decided not only to move but also to close intentional wrong forum recs.

We don´t want to punish the offenders by handing out warnings so we hope that this treatment will help. If it fails we will reconsider our decision.

meh, usually rating doesn't tell you if your skill is 175+ 1800+ or 185+ but I guess I'll just accept this

You're correct. However people who are sub 1800 tend to ignore it merely to get their games viewed. The majority seem to be smurfs, who simply don't realise or care.

My solution would be to delete the games in question. I see no reason to spend time moving mistakes people do on purpose.

its easy to forget the rate you were before the game, and most people couldn't be bothered checking stats... it should automatically sort them like at clanranking.net.

You are right but we dont want to be that strict.....at the moment at least.
We will see how much impact this rule willl have and if it doesnt work we will propably change the rules again. The last opportunity is to hand out warnings for ignoring staff instructions when people dont change their (mis)behaviour, but im reliant that we will never have to go that far. :flowers:
