Thx. Well about yellow, since it's the biggest problem:
Prime with skull white, then 3 layers of GW Yellow Ink (they don't make it anymore so it's hard to get, but still possible). Then mix of Yellow Ink with Brown Ink (5:1) goes in the recesses. Highlight the edges with badmoon yellow and white.
Metals are special as well. It's Vallejo Silver alcohol based paint, washed with Badab Black.

Everything else is pretty standard citadel and vallejo game color paints.

Thats absolutely amazing painted! How long took it to paint those models (counted in hours)? I have a space marine army too, but they are all grey. I suck at painting, my hands shake to much :(.

I don't know how many hours. It took me 2 weeks but I didn't paint every day, and I never spend more than 2h at once.

My hands shake as well, you have to find a comfortable hand position. I rest my wrist on the edge of a table so my hand does not shake, also I made a grip for the miniatures from an empty bottle. Helps alot.

What do you mean by a guide? You want me to photograph every step? Maybe I could do that with my next mini if I don't forget.

That is what a "painting guide" is.

So here's the guide. I forgot to make a few photos in between stages but the most important things are there.

- Prime the model in white
- Paint 3 layers of GW Yellow Ink

(IMG:http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/1729/57083130.jpg)

- Paint red parts with Bloody Red
- silver with Liquid Silver Vallejo Metalizer
- black with Chaos Black
- skin with whatever skin color (I use Pale Flesh mixed with Bestial Brown)

(IMG:http://img718.imageshack.us/img718/3323/46044312.jpg)

- Wash the recesses of the armor with mixed Yellow Ink and Brown Ink (5:1)

(IMG:http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/372/13326125.jpg)

- Wash the silver parts with Badab Black
- Wash the skin with Devlan Mud (or another brownish wash)
- Mix red with white and black to get few shades and paint few layers on the coat and other red stuff (darker in recesses and lighter on the edges)
- Paint eyes if you like :p

(IMG:http://img243.imageshack.us/img243/4253/93132007.jpg)

- Highlight the armor edges with a 1:1 mix of Moon Yellow and White
- Highlight black parts with Codex Grey
- Paint the hair with Stonewall Grey
- Paint the base with Stonewall Grey and then wash with Badab Black
- Cover the whole model with 2 layers of Matt Varnish

(IMG:http://img248.imageshack.us/img248/287/tac9a.jpg)

Some of my other newly painted mehreens:
