This is the new graphics card ive just purchased - Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 4670 512MB GDDR3 TV-Out/DVI/HDMI (PCI-Express) - Retail (11138-00-20R)

Is this going to do the job?
*

yes, it will do the job fine. :)

@waaagh

my previous cpu was athelon 3000+ and it could run the beta well with no problem. however sempron 2800+ is even a bit lower so I am not too sure. you can try.

You can try, I doubt it though. I fear you'll need to get a new mainboard, try get one for a good price, doesn't have to be that expensive. For about 60USD you can have a pretty gd AMD-based motherboard who supports CrossfireX or Intel bsaed motherboard who supports CrossfireX, although crossfire won't be that nice with this card as it's low-mid range card.
