(IMG:http://viper.sanctuary-network.com/logo_ad4.png) As the GOTW activity has been non-existent in the past while, we have decided to take a new approach to how we select the GOTW for AOT here at RTS-Sanctuary. We are going to turn over to a system similar to what is done for StarCraft 2 and Age of Empires, where a single GOTW Reviewer will be responsible for choosing the Game of the Week. If you think you have what it takes to be this person. Please fill out the following application and PM it to myself by Monday, September 13th. Good luck to all who apply. APPLICATIONS CLOSED |

What about usage of the rating system instead of GOT reviewer? :santa: It would work way better imo |

But that is such an old idea, iI have suggested this long time ago in combination with a "please rate this recorded game " message . Or in combination with more attractive ratingsystem. Point is that idea needs the goodwill of the community to rate games. Atm only a few guys rate a game occasionally ( like ERVD :crazyeye: ) . Think of an idea on how to increase the general gamerating usage and that idea will work IMO. This post has been edited by JijSmeekt: Sep 10 2010, 08:19 AM |

well why rate a game when nothing happens with it? I'm sure if you had a like/dislike option a lot more people will vote when it actually matters. |

True, and with that first part you crush your and Ervds idea abit, Unless you can come up with a way\method to increase user ratings on games, it will remain having the same function like it has for years. And that is "just a tiny mark of what could be a decent game, and worth your time , and what not " This post has been edited by JijSmeekt: Sep 10 2010, 11:42 AM |

I think games should have the thumbs up , or the thumbs down option , just like on youtube videos for example . :) That is way more anonymous , easier, and it could provide a good (public ) selection of games which could be nominated for GOTW :sun: This post has been edited by JijSmeekt: Sep 10 2010, 12:12 PM |

Most sites use thumbs up/down nowadays. Rating out of 5 is pretty pointless since most people will rate it either 1 or 5. Gamereplays.org already works with a similar system. |

Yes its clear that the 1-10 rating on record games has not brought what one expected probably. Not that I like to have it removed. Just a thumbs up + thumbs down option should be added :baby: |
