Adding your video or stream is as simple as clicking a button, inserting your ID code, and then clicking another button before submitting your post. Note that Vods and Streams should only be posted in the User Created Content forum of the relevant game section for now. To make them easy to identify please include [VOD] or [STREAM] at the start of your topic title.

The special codes have all been assigned to buttons that are visible in the Posting Screen as seen on this picture:

Attached Image

Codes can also be entered manually in either upper or lower case letters. The ID code that you need to enter between the tags can be found as follows:

YouTube Video

The ID is the string that comes after v= in the url excluding anything that comes after a trailing &

e.g http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fUDvg8He9LY&feature=player_embedded

CODE
[YOUTUBE]fUDvg8He9LY[/YOUTUBE]

Google Video

The ID is the number that comes after docid= in the url excluding any trailing characters

e.g. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4963250118968916386#

CODE
[GOOGLE]4963250118968916386[/GOOGLE]

WeGame Video

The ID is the string (often text) that comes after watch/ in the url excluding any trailing /

e.g http://www.wegame.com/watch/esl-major-series-ptankrr-vs-fogchoko-round-1/

CODE
[WEGAME]esl-major-series-ptankrr-vs-fogchoko-round-1[/WEGAME]

Livestream Stream

The ID is the string that follows livestream.com/ in the url excluding anything after the trailing ?

e.g. http://www.livestream.com/goatrope?utm_source=lslibrary&utm_medium=ui-channel-text

CODE
[LIVESTREAM]goatrope[/LIVESTREAM]

X-Fire Stream

The ID is the string following live_video in the url excluding any trailing /

e.g http://www.xfire.com/live_video/blue235/

CODE
[XFIRE]blue235[/XFIRE]

Ustream

This one is a bit harder to find if it isn't your stream. If it is your stream then the ID is the string that follows mybroadcasts in your control panel url

e.g. in manage http://www.ustream.tv/mybroadcasts/4041456

If the stream is not your own then right click the age when viewing it and select 'View Page Source' then search for http://www.ustream.tv/channel/ and the ID is the string after that text

e.g http://www.ustream.tv/channel/4041456

CODE
[USTREAM]4041456[/USTREAM]

blip.tv

When you are viewing the channel on blip.tv you will see a number of links below the screen. Click on (IMG:http://rts-sanctuary.com/images/blip.jpg) to bring up the panel of options and select the 'embed' tag. The ID is the string that follows blip.tv/play/ in the code

e.g src="http://blip.tv/play/hdljgeLgZAI%2Em4v"

CODE
[BLIP]hdljgeLgZAI%2Em4v[/BLIP]

Enjoy linking your favourite videos and streams
