is ther a clan system in beta? Also, is it possible to play 2v2s with a person you know, rather then let the Match Making system do it for you? Also, will there ever be a system in sc2 where you can host a rated game like in aoe3. This post has been edited by Vancebla: May 25 2010, 06:13 PM |

Yes you can create a party and 2v2 and you both will be partners in a 2v2 quickmatch. The clan system is not in the beta and will not be but Blizzard has said there will be at release of the game. And for hosting nope and I am all for it because its hard to ladder abuse if you can only quickmatch :P. |

You can't play rated games against your friends because that would lead to point trading. |

You might get them in quickmatch but rarely :P. out of all my quickmatch games only played 1 game against a friend which was pretty funny since we were on vent at the time lol. |

clansystems built into games are terrible. Its nice for non-serious clans. But any real clan uses means outside of the game to communicate and organize. Like forums or Ventrilo. |

He has a point though. If a clan only uses the clan message board on ESO to communicate, they probably aren't a very serious clan. Forums + Skype/Vent/TS are vital to the success of a good clan. |

While I agree but the [clantag here] makes your clan known as well I did like that feature in aoe3 :P. But for a serious clan yes vent/skype/forums/etc are a must. |

I dislike the [clan] system for clan tags that seems to be in all online games these days. I preferred it when there was no system and you were free to make clan tags how you liked with no character limit and whatever punctuation you liked. I also agree that clans only based off in-game systems suck, I miss the good old days :whistling: I think part of the reason my aoc dm clan never moved to aoe3 was because we couldn't fit our clan name into the 5 character limit :( UNR3AL_ : [UNR3A] [UNR3L] [UN3AL] all looks poopie |

Ya I think the rating system in the beta is really cool. Only thing I don't like is that you can't play rated vs your friend, but i guess it does prevent point trading so it is okay |
